Today’s featured beer comes to us from Dan Gordon of Gordon Biersch in California. Read about Dan’s incredible history with beer in our Southern Distinction article published last December. Winterbock is a 7.5% ABV bock beer brewed in the tradition of 11th century Bavarian monks. These monks fasted frequently, and sustained themselves by drinking a strong, dark malted bock like Winterbock. It’s a great lager by Gordon Biersch that is a true testament to their strict beer brewing methods. Yum!
