Widmer’s flagship beer Hefewizen is considered “the standard by which all other Hefeweizens are judged.” It is a lovely golden unfiltered wheat beer with a 4.9% ABV. Widmer’s hefe has won several awards, most recently the 2010 Bronze Medal American-style Wheat Beer with Yeast at the Great American Beer Festival, the 2010 Bronze Medal Field Beer at the Great American Beer Festival, and the 2010 Bronze Medal Fruit Beer at the Great American Beer Festival.
