I always enjoy watching new beer videos from Magic Hat’s website, so I was excited to learn that the video for the new spring seasonal Vinyl was released yesterday. It was created with stop motion animation, which I love, and there’s even a little fairy that reminds me of Tinker Bell with elf shoes. When I was young, stop motion animation and clay-mation shows like Gumby always fascinated me, but it seems to have been a long time since I saw one done. I guess I should go see Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The Vinyl video is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Howl video released this past fall – that one featured a combination of thunder, rain, and Halloween ghostliness that honestly still spooks me every time I watch it. I’d love to see Magic Hat add videos for its other seasonals, Wacko and Roxy Rolles. They seem to get more creative with every beer label, every name, and every video they create. Well done, Magic Hat!
