Incoming! New Brews in the State of Georgia

It’s been an exciting past few weeks here at the Leon Farmer and Company warehouse, and I’m pleased to announce the upcoming debut of several new beers and breweries in the state of Georgia!

First up we have Southern Tier Brewing Company, a Lakewood, New York brewery with an incredible lineup of over 20 year-round, seasonal and Imperial offerings. Southern Tier will be introducing the following beers to the state this year: year-rounds IPA, 422, and Phin and Matt’s, Imperial year-rounds Unearthly IPA and Big Red, seasonals Hop Sun and Creme Brulee, and Imperial seasonal Pumking. To learn more about Southern Tier, you can pick up a March issue of Southern Distinction magazine and read a special feature on the company.

Next on the menu is Magners Irish Cider – an Irish imported cider. Magners brings to the American table an authentic heritage and adherence to a time-honored tradition of cider making that provides its drinkers a refreshing alternative to other alcoholic beverages.

Pyramid Breweries will also enter the state this spring. Pyramid is known for its award-winning Haywire Hefeweizen, “the standard by which all other wheat beers are judged.” Haywire isn’t the only gold medal winner in the company’s brewery, however; click here to view all the awards won by various styles in the last few years!

In addition to new companies debuting in Georgia, many who already offer their product in the South have announced new seasonals and year-rounds for 2010. Magic Hat Vinyl will hit shelves soon, as will Yuengling Bock.
