I hate reading weather reports about impending rain, wind, and possible sleet/snow that will just RUIN my weekend. Today is no different. But some good comes out of staying indoors on a Friday and Saturday night – I get to drink a few of the sample beers that have been biding their time in my refrigerator for the last couple of weeks. Among them are a Gordon Biersch Marzen and a Gordon Biersch Winter Bock.
I’m excited about all of them, but especially the Winter Bock. It’s a dark and malty, creamy beer that keeps your pallet warm and your belly full during the cold season, and I’m told it does a great job of representing the variety in flavor the brewery provides to its year-round and seasonal lagers. If you get stuck indoors this weekend, and are lucky enough to live across the street from a package store as I do, try a Winter Bock! Even better, try any Gordon Biersch brew. You won’t be disappointed.
