May 16-22 = AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEK! Yeah, we have one. And it’s awesome.

Cities across America have their own “beer weeks” throughout the year, but this one, put on by the Brewers Association, takes it national to give beer fans the option to enjoy and share what they love! It’s a perfect occasion for a brewery or beer business to interact directly with fans and fellow brewers.

ACBW began in 2006 to replace American Beer Month, which was held in July. It immediately became a national effort to focus on American craft brewers specifically. The first year, 124 breweries hosted events. By 2009 that number nearly doubled, and in 2010 341 breweries hosted more than 600 events! 2011 is expected to far exceed that with participation in all 50 states. What a tremendous outpouring of love for craft beer!

Are you a craft beer champion? Find out here.

Interested in celebrating ACBW in your area? Next week marks the largest number of beer festivals and gatherings in the country at once. Find one near you!
