Athens Tops "Best College Towns" List

This isn’t really beer-related, but it’s pretty sweet nonetheless.

A couple weeks ago, the Associated Press compiled a list of the top 12 college towns that offer more than just football! Athens was voted the #1 college football town… here’s what they said:

1) ATHENS, GA. The residents might not be in the best of moods these days, with their beloved Georgia Bulldogs slumping (not anymore!), but Athens is still the coolest town in the Southeastern Conference. Famous for its music scene, R.E.M. and the B-52s have Athens roots, and Athens is bicyclist-friendly and home to the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
