There just aren’t enough beer holidays.
National Beer Day is April 7th, to celebrate the day Prohibition ended in the United States. It seems only fitting to commemorate the occasion with a few lagers from Yuengling, the oldest family-owned brewery in the country and one of the few still around at the time Prohibition ended. Read the story of the Yuengling family here!
National Pecan Day isn’t really a beer holiday, but since Lazy Magnolia happens to produce one of the best (and only) pecan craft brews around, we’ll give it a toast on April 14th every year! And eat some pie.
Let’s not forget American Craft Beer Week, seven whole days dedicated to brewing, brewers, breweries and the people who love them. Smaller craft beer weeks exist all over the country, but ACBW takes it national!
International IPA Day is a new one this year, but with so many IPA options on the market right now they deserve their own special holiday! It is celebrated on August 4th, the day before International Beer Day.
Today! International Beer Day has been celebrated since 2007, when a group of beer enthusiasts decided that beer needed a day in its honor. They made a website, told some bars, and IBD was born! Today it is celebrated all over the world as a thanks to beer itself as well as the men and women who have a part in producing and selling it. Thanks everyone! None of these holidays could exist without you.
National Drink Beer Day is coming up next month on September 28th. Unlike National Beer Day, this one is for celebrating the consumption of beer more than the beer itself. No better time to try a new craft beer, especially since Oktoberfest is coming up and a lot of tasty Marzen and Oktoberfest-style beers are in season!
