As many craft enthusiasts are aware, Pyramid Breweries rolled out a packaging redesign a while back that was a complete 180 from their original designs. Although it was an innovative and interesting look, consumers made it clear that they preferred the classic packaging, and Pyramid listened! So over the summer the decision was made to bring back the Pyramids as a focal point and take Pyramid back to the look and feel that its patrons know and love.
An article published on Brewbound quoted Ryan Daley, Pyramid brand manager, who expalined it best – “The new Pyramid design better reflects the rich tradition and heritage of the Pyramid brand and our Pacific Northwest home. Consumers can expect to see new packaging that brings back the iconic pyramids, featured among mountains and trees, reinforcing our Pacific Northwest roots that date back to 1984.”
The new design features the brand’s iconic pyramids and landscape, a font similar and only slightly altered from the original, and a clean, simple look that the company hopes will better represent the brand’s reliability and authenticity as great craft beer.
In addition to the marketing overhaul, Pyramid plans to release several new brews in 2012. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
