Gordon Biersch recently struck a deal with Virgin America airlines to serve its flagship beer, Marzen, on all flights in an eco-friendly 16oz. plastic bottle.
Marzen, like all of Dan Gordon’s beers, is brewed in strict accordance with German purity laws from the sixteenth century, and is produced at the company’s brewery in San Jose. The plastic bottle served on flights is produced using Plasmax technology, which makes the bottle feel like glass and the beer inside taste the same as it would from a glass bottle. These plastic bottles can be completely recycled and used to produce new plastic bottles.
